(1) The 1988 helmet was readied by Coach Doug Hedrick, but Coach Chip Sherman was hired that year. Coach Sherman did not want to use the skull logo and opted to use the "PC" logo, which was only changed once (1998) when he was the head coach (until 2007). As far as I know, the skull logo helmet of 1988 never made it to the playing field. The helmet is displayed here only for historical purposes.
